A Fall Wedding Full of Heart: Amanda & Carter’s Cleveland Celebration

A celebration of their very own.

There’s something special about fall weddings in Northeast Ohio — the golden light, the changing leaves, and the cozy, timeless feel that makes every moment feel like it’s meant to last forever. Amanda and Carter’s day was all of that and more. I had the joy of second shooting alongside Laura Christine Photography, capturing the quiet details and in-between moments that tell the heart of their story.

From getting ready in a sunlit Airbnb on Franklin Boulevard in Cleveland to saying “I do” at St. Ann Church in Cleveland Heights, every part of the day was thoughtfully woven together. The church, with its soft stained-glass glow, was the perfect setting for their heartfelt ceremony — a beautiful blend of tradition, family, and faith.

After the ceremony, we made our way to one of my favorite Cleveland backdrops: The Cleveland Museum of Art. Its marble steps and reflecting pool offered a stunning, classic scene for bridal portraits. Amanda’s dress — a Martin Thornburg gown — moved effortlessly in the autumn breeze, paired with Badgley Mischka shoes that shimmered just enough to catch the golden light. Her earrings, once worn by her mom on her own wedding day, added the sweetest sentimental touch.

Even her purse carried family history — handmade from pieces of her mother’s wedding dress by Juniper & Lace, it was the kind of detail that makes a wedding feel deeply personal. The florals by Mayfield Floral tied it all together with soft fall tones, perfectly complementing the season and the couple’s warm, genuine energy.

The celebration continued at Tremont City Side Ballroom, where laughter, toasts, and cake from Wild Flour Bakery filled the evening. The room glowed with the kind of love that doesn’t just photograph beautifully — it lingers.

Being part of Amanda and Carter’s day reminded me why I love photographing weddings in Cleveland and across Northeast Ohio. From historic churches and modern art museums to cozy ballrooms tucked into the heart of the city, there’s no shortage of spaces where love stories come alive.

If you’re planning your own wedding in Cleveland, Akron, or the surrounding area, I’d love to help you capture your day in a way that feels true to you — full of warmth, movement, and real emotion. Check out my wedding packages here.
